Across the Ursern valley, the three Roman Catholic parishes of Andermatt, Hospental, and Realp collaborate within a shared pastoral area while preserving their distinct village heritage, sacred buildings, and elected Parish Councils (Kirchenräte).
Roman Catholic Parish of Andermatt
The Parish of Andermatt comprises approximately 1,030 Catholic parishioners. Its sacred buildings include the Baroque Parish Church of St. Peter and Paul, the Romanesque Valley Church of St. Columban, the Pilgrimage Chapel of Maria Hilf, St. Michael Ossuary, and St. Wendelin Chapel. The Parish Secretariat at Kirchgasse 5 also coordinates pastoral administration across the Ursern valley.

Roman Catholic Parish of Hospental
The autonomous Parish of Hospental serves approximately 170 Catholic residents in Hospental and the hamlet of Zumdorf. Its spiritual heart is the Baroque Parish Church of the Assumption of Mary (1706), complemented by the Chapel of St. Charles Borromeo at the foot of the Gotthard Pass and the Rococo Chapel of St. Nicholas in Zumdorf.

Roman Catholic Parish of Realp
The autonomous Parish of Realp at the foot of the Furka Pass serves approximately 110 Catholic parishioners. It encompasses the Parish Church of the Holy Cross as well as the chapels of Maria Hilf at Tiefenbach, Maria in der Aegerten, and St. Joseph, supported by its own Parish Council and the Realp Church Choir.
